A special, impressive personality. Tall and willowy, impeccably dressed and remarkably diligent.

We met at the 2019 OxPeace conference and conducted a lively correspondence thereafter. Coline was so lively and broadly interested. Her premature death is so unfair.

Wonderful, brilliant Coline. Brilliant in life, but also in death. How did she retain all that wit and intelligence and elegance during those last few weeks before her death, lying on her cream sofa, wearing one of her beautiful knits, hair in her usual ponytail, keen to talk, minded not to complain, not to worry too much about what lay ahead. Minded to manage it in style. In death as in life. Bravo Coline.

I met Coline in the early seventies when she had obviously just come down from Cambridge. At the time and since then ( I own a small independent garage in Hampstead, Coline owned a little morris minor car that she required assistance with, and got that help from us.
I have been a friend ever since and cannot say too much about her as she was always such a lovely lady I can think of no superlatives that would cover it, except perhaps love. Now, always.the sadness in my heart at this is mind numbingly hard.having known her from such a long time this is truly difficult to comprehend.
The last time I saw her was to buy her car which I will keep as it rill constantly remind me of this fascinating, super intelligent, unique human being. As upsetting as it is to write this it has to be recorded thus that this person will truly miss her.
