Oh Caroline. I've been thinking of you but never imagined you could lose Swing. I remember the fun of lively political discussions when we were all oh so young in Manhattan. He was the most articulate of the group. I am so sorry. Love, Norcott

Dear Carolina, Austin, Edward... I am so sad to hear of Swing's death and to imagine the sorrow you feel, the loss we all share in different ways. You are an amazing and awesome family -- we all are. And this remains constant. If prayer is thinking love, sending love, feeling love even when we cannot be "there", I pray for you all now, always.

Dearest Caroline, Austin and Edward--I am very saddened to learn this news and I send you hugs and prayers. Swing was so special, had SUCH a marvelous sense of humor, and even helped me buy my first house in Shandon during his brief time as a realtor. Love to all of you.

Dearest Caroline, The first time I met Swing was when your mother gave an engagement party for you here. Then you were in NY, and by that time I was, too. I had all my SC friends up there over for spaghetti, and y'all were among those who attended. I remember the spaghetti fed 28, but there were 29 there, so I didn't eat. You knew and were so sympathetic. Thereafter, you moved to Calif., so I didn't see you for years. When you returned to Cola., it was good to "connect" again. Carl enjoyed knowing Swing when they were both at Middleburg, and I enjoyed seeing you both from time to time. Our families go back forever, I know. Carl and I are praying for God's comfort and strength for you and will always. Love, Gelene
