I never knew Gregory. I found myself somehow researching him after seeing a video where they were looking for the name of a skateboarder in a historical photo in New York. I purely love historical research. I thought maybe the skateboarder was infact named Gregory Peck, just not the famous actor. I found that most history of this Gregory Peck, was almost impossible to find, since he shares a name with a famous actor. There's no way for me to know if he was infact the man in the famous photo, but I did find one photo of him. I feel as though, even if this research didn't lead to an answer, I should still share this photo of him. Because his life was just as important as the famous Gregory Peck. One day, we will all be forgotten. And maybe one day, someone like me, might find us and remember us again.

I am so saddened to find out about Gregory passing away as he was my father and my attorney. He was a great attorney and became a friend to us. Sending prayers to the family.

As a child of the Pacific Northwest, and having moved to New York to attend a graduate law program at NYU, Greg was one of the first persons I met, and who I felt was a true friend. I was always proud to have him as a friend and measured just about everyone in New York City against him because Gregory was a "born New Yorker--embodying the true soul of the City." And, I knew it as soon as I met him. It wasn't just that Greg was always impeccably dressed and witty. There was something else about him that was unmistakable. As Mark Twain put it: "The educated eye never mistakes those people (Mid-westerners) for New- Yorkers. No, there is a godless grace, and snap, and style about a born and bred New- Yorker which mere clothing cannot effect." Gregory was witty and quick, saavy and insightful, direct and honest in his assessments, but also a trusted and loyal friend.

I first met him at the Yale Club of New York City--a longtime haunt of his and a welcoming place where was beloved by members and staff; in fact, Greg was largely responsible for my own admission as an "associate member." We were fellow attorneys, although practicing in different areas (he in PI, and me in tax). But our friendship was real, and I always knew I could call Greg and have a good, long talk about practically anything--and at almost anytime of the day or night! He was never boring. Greg introduced me to some wonderful places in the City.
There was live 1940's Jimmy-Dorsey style jazz in the basement of Sutton Place and the old Edwardian Room of The Plaza, where we had brunch a couple times. One of my fondest memories was a Sunday "date" we had which started off at the Edwardian 'Room of the Plaza Hotel--an afternoon supper, followed up by a taxi over to Lincoln Center for a performance by the New York Metropolitan Opera. Greg was not much of an opera fan (he fell asleep and was actually snoring...), but he stuck it out like a good sport.
He was an excellent attorney and a dear friend. We greatly missed him at the Yale Club, when he stopped coming...

My sincere condolences to his children, grandchildren, his brother (who I heard a lot about--all good)...and his many friends and admirers.

I will never forget Greg, but he will always remain an inspiration to me.

Sincerely - Pamela A. Fuller
