ISADORE CASSUTO Obituary
died December 21, 2016. Relied on consistently for his clarity beneficence and unfailing fairness. The kindest sweetest man I have ever known. His bold brilliant beautiful mind coupled with a uniquely charming bemused smile were invariably a comfort and a gift. His incisiveness, spleen slicing analysis of a harsh political season, his fluency, his quiet grace will be missed. His heroism, his modesty, the girth of his talents he treated with subtlety and humor. He was special and ineffable. I loved my handsome and formidable Uncle Ike and thank him for the enormity of his impact on our collective world. By his presence he made it a better more decent humane and honest place to live. The heart breaks for my treasured Aunt Tobby, their phenomenal sons Leonard (Debra Osofsky) David (Elizabeth Downes) and cherished grandchildren K.C. and Jesse. These people were his finest hour.
