OSBORNE--Jeffrey,

a man with impeccable taste and a remarkable gift for friendship, died on March 24 at age 72. A legendary former Vice President of Design at Knoll, an advisor to manufacturers and designers, and a former executive director of the International Design Conference in Aspen, he upheld the highest standards of design excellence. He worked with prominent architects and designers like Cini Boeri, Marcel Breuer, Joe D'Urso, Richard Meier, Massimo and Lella Vignelli, and Robert Venturi. Jeffrey was an integral part of the lives of his many friends, who will remember him for his Oscar parties, delivering birthday balloons in his Checker cab, and sending paperwhites every Christmas. His recommendations for paint colors (Benjamin Moore's Collingwood and Black Iron) and the correct picture-hanging height (low) transformed many a friend's or client's living room. A celebration of his life will take place on April 13 at 4pm at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home.
