MICHAEL BROCKMAN Obituary

BROCKMAN--Michael, on August 1, 2022 achieved his lifelong goal of passing away peacefully in his own space on his own terms. He was 85. Michael was the devoted father of Dana, Abby, and Max Brockman. Proud pop of Theo. He was a complex and beautiful man, who lived an extraordinary life. A singular, authentic character until the very end. Michael was charming, alienating, chic, harmlessly raunchy, sophisticated, defiant, endlessly loyal, hysterical, abrasive, sensitive, impossible, and full of love. An irreplaceable force of nature who gave all of himself throughout the many lives he led. He will be remembered forever through countless stranger-than-fiction stories, many of which he authored himself. He often joked that he had lost so many friends, that his funeral would be held in a New York City phone booth. He was wrong. Not only did he outlive phone booths, there isn't a room in the world that could hold all the lives he touched. You are loved, Michael.

The obituary was beautifully written and could not have capsulized the Michael D. Brockman persona any better. I know first hand! I wish to extend my condolences to to the family.
