I was a patient and privileged friend. Michael was a precise and gentle doctor. He was also a person of unaffected charm, possessed of a fine yet easy style, an incisive conversationalist, a lover of life´s bounties and cultures. Not mentioned: Michael´s involvement in pop music just at the outset of his medical career. He was a pioneer of his generation, his cultural vision extending to his innovative approach to his medical vocation.
