Mr. Blanchard was my professor at the Masters school. I loved his classes as he always made them fun.. With the corgi Poppet in the class at all times.. Who he lovingly referred to as the ' beast' .. I also volunteered with him and others on fixing up boats on the Hudson. He was an exceptional man. So kind and so easy to talk to. Im guessing he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He most definitely made a mark on my younger years. RIP Peter..

Sofia and Theo,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved husband and father. Every time I walk the shore path along the sound at Mason's point in the winter I reflect on my gratitude that he gave me permission to do so all those years ago and I am so blessed to enjoy the beauty of that location. Those walks and reflections will have even deeper meaning now. Please know that you are in my thoughts as you navigate this difficult time.

Mr. Blanchard was my first science teacher at Chapin. I was a new student in 1981, and he was warm, humorous, and supportive. May he rest in peace.

I met Peter on one of my visits to Greenwood Gardens. He took such pride in the estate where he grew up, and he told great (and funny) stories as he guided us through the gardens. May his memory be for a blessing.

Peter will be sorely missedon the coast of Maine. His commitment to conseration and stewardship of the natural world was unmatched and his generosity, including with his own time, has left a lasting mark. Thank you, Peter for a life well-lived. My thoughts this morning are with Sophie, Theo and all who loved Peter.
