PETER RADO Obituary

RADO--Peter T., 95, passed away peacefully at home on December 4 with his beloved wife Jacqueline by his side. Son of psychoanalyst Sandor Rado and Emmy Rado, he was born on No-vember 12, 1928 in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to the United States in November 1931. He lived all of his life in New York City, attending the Dalton School and Riverdale Country School, followed by Harvard College and Harvard Law School (J.D. and LL.M). He served in the U.S. Army from December 1953 - December 1955. Beginning in 1956, he practiced law in New York City with the firm of Ide, Haigney & Rado. He was a man of honor and integrity who valued time with family and friends, travel, a good restaurant and a fine bottle of wine. In addition to his wife Jacqueline of 46 years, he is survived by his stepdaughter Ferne Traeger (Bruce Batkin, deceased), stepson Michael Traeger, granddaughter Claudia Batkin (Georg Machinist), and great-grandchild- ren Charlie and Chloe Machinist. He will be greatly missed.

Please, except my deepest condolences. It was only recently that I found out that my grandfather Arnold Rado´s younger brother, Sándor had children. I know he will be missed by his family, however, I´m sure that he will that in your hearts forever.
