PHYLLIS THURM Obituary

THURM--Phyllis. Passed on February 1. Beloved wife of Milton for 59 years who pre-deceased her; adored mother of Scott and Sari; Kevin and Suzanne; Wendy and David; very special grandmother of Eric, Jason, Abby, Noah, Moze, Samantha, and Chloe; daughter of the late Ceil and Herman Boren; sister of the late Stuart Boren. Born and raised in Brooklyn; graduated from Lafayette High School and Brooklyn College; worked as a speech therapist; raised her family in Merrick, NY; lived in Boca Raton for at least parts of the last 30+ years. Volunteered for a range of causes including children with asthma and special needs, and served as a healthcare advocate. Exceptional cook and baker; taught her children and grandchildren many life lessons that made them better people; loved talking to her grandchildren, sharing time with friends, and eating coffee ice cream. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to the Thurm family. I knew Phyllis when I worked with Milt, who made me a better lawyer and better person. To an outsider, you have such an impressive family, and it is all a testament to Phyllis and Milt.
