I saw Dr. Raskin over the course of several years, starting in 2007. He was so helpful to me as I dealt with depression following a cancer treatment. I never felt so "seen" nor so profoundly understood in any therapy situation. I knew I was so fortunate to get to know him a bit in those late years of his career, and my life was changed and made better by the attention and care he gave to me. I know I stand among so many others from the many years of his distinguished practice, and I feel the honor he brought to all of us. I send my condolences to his family.

Ray was a warm, genuine and down to earth psychoanalyst. I was fortunate to have him as a supervisor early on in my training also appreciated his wisdom and kindness.

In 1948 my mother Gladys F. RASKIN, MD, pregnant with me at the time signed the roll of physicians immediately following Raymond A. Raskin, MD.
She obviously liked the name. I have had the pleasure of a few telephone conversations with Dr Raskin but unfortunately never met him.
Condolences to the family

Oh, sad. Ray was one of the first psychoanalysts I ever met. On my very first birthday with Andy Meyers, his first wife sang happy birthday to every major opera tune. We celebrated so many holidays together chez casa meyers. He was a warm, elegant, fun loving, hard working and smart man. Much love to all of you and sympathy for your loss.
