ROBIN BRAKA Obituary

BRAKA--Robin Aronsohn. It is with profound sorrow The Braka Family shares the untimely passing of Robin Aronsohn Braka on September 1, 2024. Beloved wife of 53 years to Ivor Braka. Devoted mother to sons David Braka (Stephanie) and Benjamin Braka (Lynn), and cherished daughter Rachel B. Khafif (Edgard). Known as Nana Robin to 16 grandchildren and very recently great grandmother to a beautiful baby girl. Sister to Isabelle Aronsohn Ager. Robin was born on May 14, 1949 in New York City. She attended the High School of Music & Art and graduated from New York University with a degree in Fine Arts. During her life she thoroughly enjoyed the art and culture that the city offered. She was a frequent visitor to Broadway, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park. Robin raised her family in New York City, Deal (New Jersey) and later loved living in Aventura, Florida. Robin together with her husband Ivor, was responsible for the construction and design of the Edmond J. Safra Synagogue in Aventura. Robin was a Senior Art Consultant at RBK Art Advisory and placed many contemporary pieces of art in the homes of clients. Robin was a founding board member of PROPEL, where The Robin Braka School of Art was named in her honor which helps support women who are pursuing a career in fine arts. Robin was a beautiful, kind and intelligent woman who instilled honest values and a love of Judaism to her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was our jewel.

Dear family , I am Jane and my business was the cleaning service at the galleria, my husband Roni who adored Robin as I do passed away in 2023 , he had a massive stroke, the pain is unbearable... I am so sorry for your loss, she was kind gentle loving a wonderful woman , my prayers for every family member, if someone would like to reach me ( 917 974 4449 ,
