would like to say that I respect, admire and I am thankful for the late Mrs. Shirley Chisholm. She has always been on of my role models and I am so deeply sadden that she was taken from us. I would like her family and friends to know that she is very much so respected and loved even now, years later, people such as myself admire, love and look up to her. I only wish to be as great as she is!!

i'm old enough to remember shirley chisholm; even as a child, i could not miss her presence in the early 70s, but knew very little beyond the name and face.....images. i just watched the pbs documentary and i'm wondering......why have i not heard more of this amazing, powerful and dignified woman - she put politicians to shame with her spirit and unsold soul. she must be THE most unsung hero in american political history; she is an american icon!
