I´m saddened to learn of Professor Thiebaud´s death. My condolences to his family. My very favorite college class was Art Appreciation that he taught at UC Davis. I was a science major, but I look back at that class and the things he taught me with great fondness. Attended some of his art exhibits over the years. He made the world a better place.

I dropped Professor Thiebaud's course which was one of a series of youthful mistakes I made at UCD. The one class I attended remains memorable. Since then, I have long admired his great career and life. RIP
