I am much delighted to light this candle, for I will always remember Mr Vines as a beacon of light in our community. He and his wife encouraged me when I was a kid selling items for school. Their house was my first stop. I always enjoyed sitting in his office talking to him. My family, as many families, has called on his services in times of unfortunate deaths, and so, we celebrate his life and death. We are told to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.

Julius Vines..a household name throughout all homes in the Camp Hill, Ala. area. For a very long time I thought he "buried" everybody that passed away, because he was all that was there for us, To this day, I have a 1953 calendar with my picture on it, hanging on my wall, advertising Vines Funeral Home.I can still see him, and my parents drinking coffee and sitting at our kitchen table talking.I visited him a couple years ago when I was home. He was a compationate, caring and kind person. A legacy to be remembered. My prayers are with the family.

Uncle Sommers was just so much fun to be
with and,as it turned out, I always learned
something from him; he was a VERY wise man
who was also quite warm, giving, and generous. I really liked just being in his
presence & riding around LaFayette listening to him talk w/ people. I'll always remember this. Uncle Sommers was just a great guy & his passing has been
extremely difficult for me. TO Merilyn and
Angela: I give you my sincerest, deepest and
most heartfelt condolences on the loss
of your Dad. GODSPEED to you both.

Merilyn, and The Vine Family

Please except our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your father. Your dad will remain in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed, forever cherished and always remembered. The Vines has always been there in our time of need. Unfortunately, this is the only time we would have the opportunity to see each other. Your mother was a wonderful teacher and friend to me. We know earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. May God be your comfort in the day ahead and may the memories keep your heart warm in the years ahead.
