I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. Chon and I were classmates throughout the years. I remember a quiet young man with a gentle infectious smile. I regret that I did not keep in touch with you, but time and space separated us ... it sounds like you became an amazing man. To your family: Please find comfort in tne Book of 2 Samuel 12:22, David speaks of his son, "... I will go to him but he will not return to me." Our loved ones who have gone away before us cannot return, but one day we will go to them. Death is a shadow, it cannot harm us though it follows us it will never reach us, it is simply a sleep from which we wake up in another place. Goodbye sweet friend until we meet again.

I am one of the scorekeepers for the Senior Softball League in Lubbock. May your family be blessed with peace and comfort during your time of need. Chon loved the game and who knew that the end of the season tournament would be the last time we would be blessed with Chon's presence. He was on a hitting streak and his team placed third in the tournament. You could guarantee that he was giving 100% when he played. My deepest condolences to all his loved ones. Chon will be missed.
