I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. My Mom passed away also in April. She and Don were very close friends and talked everyday on the phone !
Also, Mom would drop off peanuts for Don to feed his birds, and on 1 occasion several years ago, I happened to be with my Mom and took the peanuts in to him and got to meet him.
Such a kind gentleman !
My sympathies to you.
He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. He was a wonderful friend to my mother, until her passing last April. I enjoyed visiting him on several occasions when I would travel to PA to visit my mother. I was just thinking of him a few days ago and got out a nice postcard with a snow scene to send to him. He seemed like such a gentle soul. I am glad his passing was peaceful. He is now eternally with his wife who I know he missed greatly.
