I will never forget the music George shared with his audiences. I got to know George through our mutual friend, Dave Stirk. Dave used to play with George in "Silver Sky Duo" years ago. Being friends with Dave and also having a disability, I always needed driven to their performances. Whenever possible, Dave would make sure I could get to an occasional performance that they played together on. I loved to listen to their music and then afterward go on the late night early morning trips to Eat N' Park for Sunday very early morning breakfasts with David and George. Then I remember the Sunday night at a performance, George invited us to his family's home for deep fried turkey between sets. Love and condolences to his family and friends. You're already missed so much!!!

We will never forget the music George brought into our lives. We could dance to everything he played. During breaks, he would always find time to stop by our table to chat. Whenever we put on a dance, it would be George we called first. Chris and Dave Goodwin

Beth Ann, After being a widow for these past six years, I feel your pain and know your loss. I wish I had known George better. I only knew him from the dances at Whg. Downs and then when he played by himself here at Stratford Springs, where I work. Thank you for sharing his life with those of us, his fans. And thank you for detailing his life thru the obit. Who would have known y'all have 7 children? God be with you and the family. Sorry I cannot express my grief in person but I live and work in Wheeling. To God be the Glory for George, his life and his music.

George gave David "#41" many hours of dancing enjoyment and fun. He also enjoyed talking with George. We both met his lovely wife Beth and she and her family are in our thoughts and prayers. We couldn't miss a night that George was playing at Wheeling Casino. David had such fun dancing to George's 50's, 60's and even some of the new songs. George was a very special person to all who knew him and he will be missed by everyone. The dance floor at Wheeling casino will never seem the same without George.
