James "Bart" Eisenbart, 71, passed away unexpectedly in his home. He was born July 26, 1950, son of the late Joseph S. and Ann M. Swinker Eisenbart.
Bart was an avid hunter, camper and fisherman, and spent years building a camp of his own. He had a great talent for building, creating and gardening. His kids grew up in a house where their dad could fix anything (including every toy they ever broke) and where new plants and flowers magically appeared every summer.
You could always find Bart tinkering in the garage or working outdoors. As he grew older, his enjoyment was sitting with his coffee watching his favorite tv programs. He loved his hot coffee, and never met a pastry he didn't like. Bart was blessed in his life with great kids, great family, great friends, and many great times.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Fitzhenry Eisenbart; his children, who were the pride and loves of his life, Jessie Horneich (David) and James ("Jimmy" to dad) Eisenbart; sisters, Mary Jane Vignovic, Margaret (Peg) Lydic (Jack), Joan Glenn (David); brother, Joe Eisenbart; and many other family members.
Friends and family will be received at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Ltd., 119 South 15th Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, with a service held at the Funeral Home.
