Jodi Anderson Obituary

Jodi Burke Anderson, 54, went to rest in her Lord's arms Saturday, April 1, 2017, in Owasso, Oklahoma.
She was born March 31, 1963, in Washington, to Karen Monnich Butler and Charles Theodore Burke Jr.
She graduated from Moore High School, Class of 1981. She continued her education attending Rose State College in Oklahoma City, Okla., and then Tulsa Community College.
She was married June 20, 1992, in Oklahoma City, to David Anderson. They made their home in Owasso for the last 19 years.
She worked at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in Oklahoma City, then at Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa, Okla., until assuming her most important "job" of mom.
She had a variety of pastimes including antiquing and junking with her husband. She loved mowing and working in her yard. She was a collector of Frankoma Pottery and Duncan Miller glass. She loved classic vintage cars, especially corvettes and Volkswagens. She was an avid tennis fan and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was very passionate toward animals and especially canine rescue.
Loving family members include husband David; two sons, Luke David Anderson and Eli James Anderson; sister Robin Boswell and husband Gary of Owasso; sister Beth Henry and husband Steven of Moore, Okla.; brother John Butler and wife Jennifer of Tulsa; additional sisters Alissa Cornelius and husband George of Carrollton, Texas, and Dara Gerrish of Florida; parents Karen and Lyndol Butler of Owasso and Ted Burke of Washington; in-laws Duane and Donna Anderson of Owasso; Kristen and Jeff Harris of Bixby, Okla.; Greg and Dee Dee Anderson of Jenks, Okla.; Darlene Anderson of Edmond, Okla.; aunt and uncle Linda and Sam Marra of Washington; 10 nieces and nephews; two great nieces; and two cousins.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Charles and Shirley Burke, Carl Monnich and Mary Kunselman; uncle Bill Monnich; and an aunt, Mary Beth Monnich.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in Rejoice Church, Owasso, with Dr. Nancy Cook and Dr. James Barber officiating. A private family disposition will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in her memory to Tulsa Christian Center Ministries, P.O. Box 1347, Owasso, OK 74055; Rejoice Christian Schools, 10701 North 129th East Avenue, Owasso, OK 74055; Breast Cancer Preventative Partners at BCPP.org; or any animal rescue service of your choice.
