John Davis Obituary

John W. Davis Jr., 56, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, died Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the Washington Hospital. He was born September 9, 1968, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, a son of the late John W. and Charlene Butler Davis. Mr. Davis was a 1987 graduate of Canon- McMillan High School and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in graphic arts design. John had many jobs over the years, most recently he was a barista for Starbucks in Canonsburg. He had also worked as a graphic artist and was a truck driver. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canonsburg, where he had served in many capacities including minister, Sunday school teacher and leader of the afternoon prayer meeting. John's hobbies included building model cars and airbrush artwork. He is survived by a sister, Tracy Davis of Canonsburg; a brother, Wayne Davis (Heidi) of Bridgeville; a niece, Jade Davis; two nephews, Ryan and Jett Davis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 120 Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg PA 15317. I´m so saddened to hear about John´s passing. I went to school with John throughout my time in Canonsburg. I remember him as a kind and funny guy whose smile lit up any room. Please accept my deepest condolences. I´m so sorry. May John rest in peace with the Lord.
