Michele Hustava Obituary

Michele Karpoff Hustava, 51, of Brownsville, formerly of Scenery Hill, passed away Christmas, Wednesday December 25, 2024, in her home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 27, 1973, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of George and Dorothy Bosik Karpoff of Scenery Hill, who survive. Michele was a 1992 graduate of Bentworth High School. She also attended the Douglas School of Cosmetology. She was employed as a home health care worker for several area agencies. Michele had a passion for fitness, and extreme sports, leading her to become a physical trainer at Strive Gym in Canonsburg, as well as her own self employment. Michele enjoyed traveling on long weekends with her husband; being around her friends and family meant the world to her. She was very artistic, and had many passions including snow skiing, going to the gym daily, classic cars and motorcycles, and boating in the Maxwell Basin. She was also an accomplished martial artist, and 7-time MMA champion. Michele also achieved 5 different black belts. A woman of faith, she was a lifelong member of the Mon Valley 7th Day Adventist Church in Belle Vernon. On March 22, 2014, she married her husband, L. Scott Hustava, who survives. Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents, are two stepchildren, Hannah Hustava of Columbus, Ohio, and Leyton Hustava of Scenery Hill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Karpoff. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 30, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA 15313. At the family's request, entombment will be privately held in the Beallsville Cemetery. It was my pleasure to have known her. I will miss her and I joking about the packages I would deliver to them, and will miss her dearly every time I am there..She most definitely will be missed. God be with you and those left behind
