Rosalind I. Jafrate

Rosalind I. "Rosie" Jafrate, 84, of Washington, formerly of Benwood, W.Va., died Friday, August 29, 2014, in McMurray.
She was born February 10, 1930, in Hell's Kitchen, Ohio, a daughter of the late Elwood and Emma Schwinder Donley.
Mrs. Jafrate was a homemaker and a member of the senior citizens center in Washington. She was Catholic.
She loved to bake and crochet and was an avid bingo player. She was devoted to her children and family.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are three sisters, Shirley and Catherine Sindledecker and Emma DeCrease; and three brothers, Richard, Paul and Ed Donley.
Surviving is her loving husband of 60 years, Pete Jafrate; two children, Richard Jafrate and his wife, Silvia, of Spokane, Wash., and Linda Harton and her husband, Dave, of Washington; a sister, Delores Jean Fogle of Wheeling, W.Va.; a brother, Robert Donley of St. Clairsville, Ohio;, three grandchildren, Beth Harton (Shawn) Eisler, David (Kristen) Harton and Beatriz Jafrate; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, W.Va., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4. Interment will follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, W.Va.
