Amy Royal (Cox) Schumacher, 48, of Kingwood, TX, the daughter of Janice Cox of Bradenton, FL and the late Charles Cox of Yarmouth, ME died at home after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born in Rumford, ME and graduated from Yarmouth High School in Yarmouth in 1985. Amy earned an Associates Degree in Communications from Castleton College in 1987. In 1990 she married James Schumacher also from Yarmouth.
Amy was an accomplished home party consultant for several companies until she went to work full time for Jared's, the Galleria of Jewelry, where she worked as a diamond consultant. She was an active volunteer in any community in which she lived, supporting many church and school activities. She loved music and entertaining.
She is survived by her sons, Karlton, of Kingwood, TX and Jackson, of College Station, TX, her mother, Janice Cox of Bradenton, FL, sisters Allyson Cox of Reston, VA and Andrea Lynch of Orange Park, FL, a brother, Robert, of Reston, VA, Andre Frilot and his children of Seabrook, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Atascocita Community Church, 17271 West Lake Houston Parkway, Humble TX, on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Atascocita Community Church for the support of their missions programs in Haiti and Guatemala.

I attended Castleton with Amy and just now learned of her passing. She was such a blessing and we shared many happy memories. My heart breaks and my prayers go out to her family and friends.

I had the wonderful pleasure of becoming friends with Amy through Atascocita High School Band where her son (Jackson) and my son (Caleb) became buddies, we worked together in concessions and various functions for the band. We had many many good times and laughs. I will miss her.
