Patricia Ervin Obituary
Patricia was born April 13, 1936, to James Riley and Gladys (Brown) Johnson, in Wheelersburg, Ohio. She attended Rio Grande College and earned her teaching degree, where she met Gary Wray Ervin. They were married August 18, 1957. They had two sons, Thomas (Lisa) and Timothy (Joyce). They later moved to Columbus, Ohio, where Patty retired from the Columbus City Schools after 30 years. She loved spending their summers boating and fishing on Lake Erie with family and friends, and loved escaping the cold Ohio winters to their home in Florida (and later Texas).
She is survived by her sons and their wives; her older brother, Kenneth; grandchildren Katie (Jon) Moerdyk, Tim (Chelsea), Taylor (Haden) Johnson, and Connor (Carling); great-granddaughter, Addie; and numerous neighbors and friends from church. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Wilma, and brothers Ron and Roger.
Family will receive visitors at an informal gathering on Saturday, February 5, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of your choice.

I started going through my old school class pictures & grade cards.I found Mrs Ervin's class picture & my 3rd grade,grade card for the 1974-1975.I had just transferred from another school,but she was very great about helping me fit in.She talked often of her life growing & about the animals she grew up with.For me she was a great teacher and 1 that I can remember clearly all these years later.Sorry I did not get to tell her so....Michael Rowe

I attended school with Patty at Wheelersburg High School and we graduated together. As kids, several girls had a slumber party at her parents home and we had a wonderful time. Patty will always be remembered by many as a precious, strong, sweet person! God bless her memory!
