Judy Drum Obituary

Judy Scronce Drum, 78, of Catawba gained her angel wings on Monday, November 8, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.

She was born July 3, 1943 in Catawba County to the late Reverend Hampton Lester Scronce and Hazel Beard Scronce. Judy was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in Catawba where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ for many years. She and her husband Larry were proud owners of Drums Restaurant for 43 years. Judy enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and getting her nails done. Judy's smile could light up a room and she touched everyone she met. If you ever had the honor of being in Judy's kitchen, you know she was famous for her cooking, baking, and delicious sweet tea.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Lee; and step-son, Kary Drum.

Those left to cherish her memory are;

Her husband of 49 years: Larry Drum of the home

Daughters: Ginger Drum Rockett and husband David of Hickory
