WADDINGTON II,
JOSEPH HAMPTON, 52
Crystal River - Joseph Hampton Waddington II went to be with the Lord, October 17, 2014. Born April 4, 1962, in Largo, FL, his family moved to Crystal River in 1965. He graduated from Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in 1988 and spent his career serving communities in Central Florida. He also attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN. He has been a long time member of Crystal River Church of God, and was a former member of Living Waters Worship Center, Ocala. Joe was very active in Music Ministry since he was a very young boy, and traveled for many years singing with various southern gospel groups.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Waddington I. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Susan McCray Waddington; son, Joseph H. Waddington III; mother, Doris Lee Waddington; 5 sisters, Yvonne Waddington (Jim) Bartek, Harleyville, AL; Sharon Waddington (Robert) Bilby, Homosassa, FL; Lynn Hutchinson, Golden Meadows, LA; Laura Waddington (Glen) Smith, Beverly Hills, FL; Karen Waddington (James) Surber, Homosassa, FL; foster sister, Mary Cobane, St. Petersburg, FL; foster sister, Laurleen Aungst, Crystal River, FL; foster brother, William Poucher, Brooksville, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 11:00a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Crystal River Church of God, with Pastor Ronnie Reid officiating. Family and friends will be welcomed for a visitation at 10:00a.m. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Joseph Waddington Memorial Fund.

Doris and family, I am very sorry to hear of Joey's passing...so soon after Rick's...I only met Joey a couple of times but very much liked him. The first time was when his Dad died. I was married to Rick a very short time but LOVED the whole family!!!! God be with you through this loss but you will be together again someday soon!!

Susan, I am so shocked and saddened to just now hear about Joe. I learned so much from him when we worked together and he was also a wonderful friend; really like a brother to me.
