Sy and wife Nancy were our friends for over 50 years. Their children and ours were about the same age and they all went to Sunday school together at FBC Ocala. We simply shared life together and we have so many wonderful memories. Mountains, beaches, biking & sailing, cruises, dude ranches, all kinds of trips - all memorable in so many ways. Friday nights were almost always dinner date nights and included an activity - movies, plays, shows, art walks, whatever. He'll be missed by me and so many more who knew him. R.I.P. my friend!

Dear Nancy and Family,
I’m so sorry for your loss.
I remember Sy from his Ocala High School years when he was the faculty sponsor of the Key Club, a boy’s service club. I was the club president and appreciated his perspective, advice and guidance greatly. I have thought of him often through the years. I remember you, Nancy, attending some of our functions with Sy. You were such a happy couple.
What a nice surprise it was to learn from Sy’s obituary that he grew up in Cheraw. It is a pretty town. I have visited there when exploring that region (history buff) and stayed in a bed and breakfast there on two occasions.
Sy was indeed a die-hard Clemson fan and put the “hard sell” on me to go there. He made it sound so grand – even that he worked at the movie theater there as a student. I opted for University of Florida.
Sy was a fine man. Now that you are all in my thoughts.
Sincerely,
- Bob Blanchard

Nancy- our sincere condolences on your loss. Good guy, who always made sure he "had his ducks in a row", when it came to his Certified positions. He was a consummate professional in every way. Will miss not having him to share our same birthday! You are in our prayers.
