Maryville, TN - Mary Louise "Marylou" Cates Nipper, age 76, of Maryville, TN, formerly of Jacksonville and Ocala, FL, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012, at her home. She was born February 22, 1936, in Citra, FL. She graduated from Ocala High School in 1953. She was a resident of Jacksonville, FL, for 30 years and of Maryville, TN, for 10.5 years. She retired as VP of Operations and Security from American National Bank in Jacksonville, FL, after 20 years of service. She was an avid reader, loved music, and singing. She was a member of her church choir for most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ocala, FL, and San Jose Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her son, Ray L. "Buddy" Nipper, Jr.; parents, Rev. Wayne and Irene Spencer Cates; and sister, Velera Franks. She is survived by her children, David and Rhonda Nipper both of Maryville, TN; sister, Ruth Limbaugh of Orlando, FL; beloved dog, Indy; and several friends, neighbors, nieces, and nephews.
