Andrew Carnes Obituary
CUYAHOGA FALLS Andrew J. Carnes, 23, died July 27, 2004.
Born in Akron, he was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls his entire life, grad uating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1999. He was employed as a roofer for JDK Roof ing, had served with the U. S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division, and received his Wings of Honor for Paratrooping.
Preceded in death by his ma ternal grandmother, Cora Rose bell Shepherd, and paternal grandfather and grandmother, Russell R. and Blythe E. Carnes, he is survived by his father and stepmother, Glenn and Margie Carnes of Cuyahoga Falls; mother, Flo Carnes of Stow; loving brother, Reid (Melanie Sines) Carnes of Uniontown; grandmother, Virginia Carnes of Cuyahoga Falls; fiancee, Gwen dolyn Tepper of Stow; special niece, Coral Blythe; uncles, Lloyd (Becky) Shepherd, Ben (Jan) Shepherd, Ramizi (Cathy) Shepherd, John (Brenda) Shepherd, Brad (Sue) Shepherd, Kelly (Villja) Shepherd, and Toby Shepherd; aunts, Kenra (Mick) Tyger, Bobbie (Guy) Shemwell, Pam (Terry) Coleman, Becky (Joe) Hiner, Ann (Mike) Barrett; special aunt, Barbara Egger; stepaunt, Bonnie (Donald) Hutchison; and numerous lov ing cousins and special friends.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 TONIGHT at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Pastor Lloyd D. Shepherd offici ating. Friends may also call be ginning at 1 p.m. Friday. Inter ment at Oakwood Cemetery. Andy it has been 4 years since you went home to be with our Lord. I can see the pain in your Mom's eyes each and every day as she awaits her call home to be with you again. Since Andy left I've seen and felt the pain of his family and friends. I never could find the right words to comfort everyone. All I can do is pray. So often it is a poem that expresses our feelings, here's one I'd like to share with you. It gives me hope and is another great reason to make sure Coral and I live the life it takes to get into heaven. This poem motivates me, I hope it does the same for you.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

It's been a long time since i last saw Andy. I never thought that I would never see him again. I regret not getting back up to Ohio sooner. Andy was an amazing kid and turned into a wonderful man.
