Cedric Kidd Obituary
Cedric L. Kidd, 48, went home to be with the LORD on Saturday, March 9th, 2019.
Cedric was born March 3, 1971 in Akron, Ohio to Earl and Joydie Kidd. He graduated from Copley High School and attended classes at Akron U before starting a career in credit collections and customer service, last working for Diebold. Ceddy enjoyed attending all sporting events. He was a loyal, proud humble man, family meant everything and he was becoming the "family historian".
Cedric was preceded in death by grandparents, Detroy and Gracie Carruthers and and Earl Sr. and Doris Kidd.
He is survived by parents, Earl Jr. and Joydie Kidd; son, Xavier Kidd; granddaughter, Ava Rose Kidd; brothers, Rodney (Germica) of Buford, Ga. and Earl III (Leonna), Aunts, Metroy Veal, Dixie Wilson of Topeka, Kan. and Deloris (Clint) Morgan of Sagamore Hills, Lana (Kenny) Long; nieces, Jocelyn, Ebony, Angel and nephews, Justin, Esarey, Jordan, Joe (Shirley); special friend, Terry Bronner and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., Akron, OH 44306, where the family will receive from 10 a.m. until time of service, Pastor Robert Golson, officiating. Interment, Mt. Peace Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1326 Copley Meadows, Copley, OH 44321.

Miss you bro! I still cant believe your not here but in a better place! We mustve bent every corner in Akron man! I would never forget when you called me at 7 in the morning and asked did I want to go to New York and I said stop playing its 7am! You said Im outside and I got you! You coming? I looked out my window and said you serious? Then lets roll! Lol! Some of the best memories in my life of 44 years are with you bro! Thank you! You showed me another side of life, a true friend, and how to live in soooo many ways! Like Snoop and Dre! That was us! I can't believe my big brother is gone! Some of my best memories are from this man. We always rode together like Dre and Snoop in that blue 64! My first baseball game was with this man. My first car he had a hand in making that happen. We went to New York and had a ball. He was funny, smart, and I can say more than a friend to me! God got him now. I took X to practice when he couldn't a few times and he was soooo proud of his son all the time! We talked about everything but lost touch as time went on and changes in our lives occurred. I missed him when he was here but I wish now I could've seen him before I heard this! Love you bro! I will be there for X if and when he needs me. Thank you for the great memories I wouldn't trade them for nothing brother. Prayers and condolences to the whole Kidd Family. Meet me at the gates C Kidd! All love family!

Xavier, and although I had never met you X there were so many pictures , your dad talked so greatly about you , and was just so proud of you!!!! It's sad to say that social media is what kept us close, however at this time I am thankful that it did. Whether it was a "like", "comment", "share" or a personal "message"- we were in contact almost daily. I always knew that my big cousin was not far away, and was always watching....
