Buza/Sword Family thinking and praying foryou during this difficult time. I came to know Chris through Pat Catans. She has taught me everything I know about floral design and will be greatly missed. I last saw and talked to Chris in October just before my open-heart surgery and she wrote her number down on a napkin and said call me. She has been on my mind alot lately and I'm sorry to say I didn't call her. I stopped in to Pat Catan's Monday evening and as I walked by the ribbon counter I asked a clerk if she was working today and her reply was, she died this morning. I was so devastated and upset because I didn't call or stop in sooner to see her. I didn't get the chance to let her know I had made it through my surgery and was doing ok as she requested. Chris was such a caring, helpful, and talented woman who will always be remembered by all. I share the same wedding date as her daughter Kim and I remember taking my veil to her days before my wedding to see if she could help me and she did. I knew she was busy getting ready for her daughters wedding but she still made time to take mine home and fix it. Never complaining, a lady of true compassion. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to know her and learn all that I did from the best.

Buza/Swords Family: Chris was truly a wonderful, talented, smiling lady. She taught me all I know about making floral arrangements. She always took the time to help me when I had a question. Even one that I thought was silly. So many times I thought, "Chris can help me". I will truly miss seeing her when I go into the store. It just won't be the same without her. May God comfort you in your sorrow. We will see her again someday.

I met Chris while working at Pat Catan's many years ago, and grew to love her kindness, wit, talent, and just her in general. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. I stopped in Pat Catan's last Christmas, just so happened was her day off, but did ask about her. I can't recall the last time I spoke to her, but now I wish it would have been sooner. We had a lot of fun times together, at work and after. I will miss her, but God must have needed her more right now. To all of the family, especially Kimberly, I give my sympathies, for she was trully a special woman of whom I will always remember. You will be in my prayers. Love, Kimberly Harrison (Meighen)

To Chris's Family,
I was so sorry to learn of Chris's passing. It truly took the wind right out of me. I came to know her while shopping at Pat Catan's. She soon became my "bow" maker. She was the best at it, and in all of her work. She even tried to teach me to make my own bows so I didn't have to pay for so many, but I never got the hang of it. I didn't care, because I knew I had Chris to go to. Please know she will be greatly missed. She was a kind, gentle woman. I believe she is receiving her reward in heaven at this moment, and that the Lord made her His "Bow Angel", putting her in charge of making beautiful white bows for all the other angels to wear up in heaven.
Sincerely, Rachelle Dain

For Chris' family,
I am a long time customer of Pat Catan's and came to know Chris well over the years. I consider her to be among my friends. Always a smile on her face and willing to help with any project. I so enjoyed our (sometimes daily) chats. We shared family stories, craft stories, personal stories. I just can't imagine going to Pat Catan's and not seeing her there. My husband also came to know her and thought so much of her. If I needed something I'd tell him "go see Chris, she'll know what I need".And she would. Our prayers go out to you. She will be greatly missed.

To Chris's family. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I was a student in Chris's floral arrangement class a few year's ago but she made me feel more like a friend. It's so ironic because I hadn't seen her since that time and so happen I was at Pat Catan's a few month's ago looking for some cake stencils and she was the one to help me that day! If only I had known I would have talked with her more, but I believe that was God's way of letting me see her one more time and I thank him for that. She was such a wonderful person! I will never forget her. You are all in my prayers! God will comfort you always! Proverbs 3:5,6
