Daisy Britton Obituary
Daisy was born and lived her entire life in Akron. She graduated from Kenmore High School and People's School of Nursing. She began a career as a registered nurse in 1946 and was employed at Akron General (formally People's), Visiting Nurse Service and Children's Hospital. She retired with over 20 years service as an industrial nurse at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in 1986.
She was a unique individual who loved to travel, shop and give advice.
Daisy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles (Ray) in 2000. She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Richard) Prunty of Cuyahoga Falls and Karen (Denny) Robinson of Winter Park, Florida; three grandchildren, Andrew (Cassandra) and Megan Prunty and Amy (Andrew) Herring. She also leaves two sisters and their families, Ruth (Bill) Ashley of Franklin Township and Hazel Whitacre of Cuyahoga Falls.
Services will be held at Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., on Wednesday, October 13 at 11 a.m. Pastor Gail Lindsey-Clark will be officiating. Friends of the family may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family request memorials, if desired, to First Christian (Disciples of Christ) of Cuyahoga Falls, 2253 Stow Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 or to the charity of choice.

CaroL and Karen: You would not remember me but my father, Michael Koroly, was very good friends with your mom, through Goodyear and then your dad Ray. I remember them coming to dinner frequently and the good times that they shared. She was a nice lady. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.
