Averill
Dan was employed by Nelson Landscaping. He was an avid Ohio State, Browns and Cavaliers Fan.
He is survived by his mother, Louise (Joe) Gmitter; father, Tom (Pam) Averill; sister, Kim Sparks; stepbrothers, Jason (Lisa) Ritenour and Jeremy Ritenour; stepsister, Janet (Dana) Short; grandmother, Mary Wotring; beloved dogs, "Titus" and "Arthur"; along with many other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203. Dan's family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Go Fund Me, www.gofundme.com.

Tom and family, so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was a good young man with plenty of heart. Always a smile for those he met. His time with us was way too short, and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him. I will remember him and his family in my prayers. God Bless You Dan.

I'm still not sure what brought us together, maybe it was fate, but I thank God every day for allowing our paths to cross. I miss your your hugs, your good morning beautiful texts, our good night texts, and everything in between. I will keep your family and friends in my prayers. Missing you Dan. I know your "ok" and smiling down on your family and friends during this difficult time. Doll, you were such an inspiration to everyone who knew you. I'm not saying goodbye...let's just say I'll see you again one day! Rest in peace...you earned your wings (you deserved them)!

I remember when Dad took us skiing and you were knee boarding. You let go of the ski rope and before we could turn the boot around you were screaming shark!shark! Dad has his contacts in and couldn't get in the water, so I didn't even think twice I jumped in to save you. Lol we both got neck to toes stung by jelly fish. Mating season I guess. If I could have only jumped in this time baby brother, I would have in a heartbeat. Love you always and forever. Your free, spread those wings and fly baby.
