Timothy Martin Dye, 66 years old of Akron, OH, passed away February 15, 2026.

Tim was born on October 31,1959 in Akron, OH to the late Bill and Louise Dye. He graduated from Norton High School in 1977.

Tim and his brother Bill co-owned a small business. Tim was known for making people laugh at gatherings with Janet, family, and friends. He loved cooking and just enjoying time together.

Tim was preceded in death by his devoted parents; his niece, Kimmy Dye; his brother, Bill Dye (married to Pam); his sister, Kathy Shell (married to Chuck); and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Norma Simpkins, all located in the Akron/Norton, OH area.

He is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Janet Dye (nee Wunderlich) of Akron, OH; brothers, David Dye of Akron, OH, and James Dye (Androlette) of Louisville, OH; sister, Teddy Reighard (Bob) of Norton, OH; relatives, John Wunderlich of Lavergne, TN, Robert Wise (Linda) of Eldersburg, MD, Richard Simpkins (Amy) of Louisville, OH, Robert Simpkins (Jessica) of Gladstone, VA, and father-in-law John Wunderlich (Nancy) of Smyrna, TN. Tim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Copley United Methodist Church, 1518 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Copley, OH, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association http://www.heart.org, Copley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund http://www.umc.org or Humane Society of Summit County http://www.summithumane.org.
