Hearing of Dave's passing really made me pause and reminisce. I remember, like it was yesterday, everything from being “volunteered without an option” to his mom’s annual wall-washing team (“I loved every minute of it, Mrs. Aikman!”), and, spending hours trying to learn to play “Wipeout” on Dave’s electric guitar, going boating, swimming, terrorizing “The Lakes”, like all Portage Lakes “angelic” boys did, comparing battle scars from football practice, and, just plain ol’ bein’ buddies!
I’ll always fondly remember and respect David Aikman. I am proud that he allowed me to share a part of his life. To his family, you needn’t worry; Dave probably already has the LORD laughing hysterically! May GOD bless all of his loved ones.
I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers.

So sorry to hear the terrible news.
We haven't been in touch since high school. I have many memories of Dave while growing up. My sister and I spent a lot of time with Dave during middle and high school years.
May God comfort your families and give you strength during your time of grief.

Dave and I graduated high school together, played football, and connected after our military service. Though I've not seen him in many years he has been in my thoughts from time to time. He'll be missed and remembered by many.
