I know that I never met you, but I heard wonderful things about you and your family. As I talk to Michelle about all the wonderful things you have said and done, I just remind her that you will be with her in her heart. I remember when I saw my grandma in the hospital and how the family started to become closer.

I hope that your family becomes close and always remember the strength (as michelle calls her) grandma Donna has given all of her family.

And a special condolences to Michelle, Melodee, Shane, and Coty. Always remember that she is with you wherever you go.

Dear Donna, or grandma as you always made me call you. You were such an amazing woman, so selfless and kind. You showed me so much love since I was just a little girl. I will always remember your sweet laugh and your warm comforting hugs. You've given me great memories, you will always have a special place in my heart. You are in a better place, watch over Shane and Melodee just like you always have. I will think of you often and love you always. <3

For the past 3 years I have came to your home to see you daily and our talks will stay with me forever. The long talks about the flowers, birds, family, friends and the good old days. You gave me something I NEVER thought I would ever have; A Family! You never let me call you Donna; it was ALWAYS grandma and you would never let that change. You accepted me and Shane and for who we are and loved us for the people we have and will become. You are my grandma and that will never change; blood or not! You will be in my heart until the day I die. The look in your eyes and the warmth in your heart will live on forever in each person you ever met. God might have taken your physical being from us but I know you will never be truly gone and I will still come and talk to you EVERYDAY after class. I Love you grandma and thank you for taking me into your heart! Love now and FOREVER!!!!

Mom,
Thank you for blessing me with 55 beautiful and amazing years as my mom. Not only were you my mother; you were my best friend and the number one love of my life. Not a day goes by that I will not think of you and all the times we have had together. Waking up the next day I knew you were in a better place when the sun shined upon my face. Though your time has passed with sissy, jeff, bud, and I it is the most beautiful feeling to know that now Carl and Roxanne can truly get to see what an incredible and loving mother you were to us here on this earth. I love you mom you will always be in my heart and I cannot wait for the day I see your angelic face again.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

God took you to bless His Kingdom as you blessed everyone that you touched. Thank you for all of the smiles that you leave with me and I see you everyday as I look into my Mother's eyes. My grandmother is one of the most endearing and courageous women that I have ever had in my life. She taught me strength to endure any challenges given. May you walk in that beautiful field of flowers that you spoke of. I Love You Grandma.

We LOVE you Great Grandma. I will ALWAYS and FOREVER remember watching the black squirrels in your backyard. Every time I see one I am sure I will smile and be pulled back to the memory of being at your house. I remember our vacation to Cherokee with you and great Grandpa and grandma and Grandpa Gene. I spilled my milk all over my white terrycloth jumper. We went to watch the Native Americans dance (which was beautiful), we stayed with Bernice, and I had my picture taken with a live bear (in a cage) and I remember I got a white stuffed teddy bear. Oh and walking across the swinging bridge. I dont know how I did that because I DO NOT like heights! I am so glad I got to come to see you at the hospital a few days before you passed. I LOVE YOU and will MISS you as long as I LIVE!!! I will tell my children and grandchildren and I hope my great grandchildren about you. You will never be forgotten!!!

Please do not be unhappy just because i'm out of sight. Remember that i'm with you every morning, noon, and night. That day i had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and he said " I welcome you " My aunt Donna will always live in my heart.
