Emil Nagy, 77, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at his home.
Funeral Requiem Mass will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 450 Dennison Ave., Akron, Ohio 44312 (PLEASE NOTE: PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH), Fr. Gabriel Lavery celebrant. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends TODAY, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44301, where a Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)

Dad,
I may not have expressed it often enough but I loved you very much. The things you taught me and the life experiences we shared will be memories that I carry with me forever. I know we had our share of disagreements and the many disappointments that I caused you and mom. I hope that you were proud of me even after all of that. And now that you and mom are together again in heaven, please tell her that I did my best to keep my promise to her.
There are so many fond memories that I have of us together, dad. Our first movie together, Star Wars. Our fishing trips together. Especially the one that got us in the dog house with mom when we wrecked her car. And the times we shared pizza together every Sunday before either football or Wii bowling.
I know that you are in a much better place now. A place where there is no pain or suffering. You were strong to the end, dad. Much stronger than I would have been. You are a great man, dad. You were always my example of how to live my life. We will see each other again one day. I love you dad.
