George Sperry Obituary
George P. Sperry, M.D., age 88, of Washington Township, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
There will be two opportunities for visitation. The first is Friday, December 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. The second visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. These events will be conducted at the Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, OH 45429. Burial will occur immediately after the service at David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please direct a donation to Children's Medical Center, Dayton Children's Hospital Attn: Foundation One Children's Plaza Dayton, OH 45404-1815 or donate online at: https://www.childrensdayton.org /community/giving/make-donation. Dear Sperry family, On behalf of the Brennans--Joan Stimson Brennan, Nancy Stimson Brennan, Charlie Brennan, and all our family members, we send you our sympathy and wishes for comfort and peace. Several of us had the opportunity to spend time with George in Canton after Aunt Jean's passing. We enjoyed sifting through decades of family photos and telling stories. Dear Sperry family---It is with a heavy heart I send this message to you all. You were dear friends over the last 50 some years. I regret that the girls and I will not be able to attend the service. You are in our thoughts and we will bow our heads in prayer at the time of the service. Bev. is ill and having surgery in the next few days. My husband John Callander will represent us as a pallbearer. God bless you all.

Dear Sperry Family-- I speak for the Gillig-Callander family and I want you all to know the loss we feel after learning of George's passing. George has been a dear friend for around 50 years. We enjoyed Rachel and George and the boys for all those years. Each year they came to the pool party in the Gillig back yard we would watch as the boys came around the corner and say now is this Hank, Bob or Jack as they grew like weeds. My husband, John Callander, will represent our family as a pallbearer. I am battling a serious health issue and I am facing surgery in a few days and believe me our hearts will be with you all but the girls and I will bow our heads Saturday morning and think of the memories we have and wish you all peace.
