Jasper Barton Obituary
He was born June 24, 1928 in Hatcher Station, Georgia to Clayton and Eva (Worthy) Barton. Jasper worked as an accountant for Goodyear for 42 years.
Survivors include his sons, Keith (Diane ) Barton of Randolph, Jeff Barton of Houston, Texas, and Scott (Chris) Barton of Edinburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Terri Roush of Randolph; sisters, Bonnie Reed of Cuyahoga Falls and Sherry Barton of Akron; and sister-in-law, Mary Barton of Gadsden, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years, Doris Barton; son, Brian Barton; sister, Imogene Cottle; brother, Marion Barton; and brother-in-law, Dick Reed.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. with Rev. William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Randolph.

So sorry to hear of Jasper's death. Got the news in an email from Linda (Cottle). Cannot attend the funeral but the family is in my thoughts and prayers. I have many fond memories of times with my mom and dad Carl and Margie and Uncle Clayton's family. Love to all.

What wonderful memories I have of going to the "Barton" farm with Doris,Jabo,boys and pigs!! My deepest condolences to the whole family...especially to you, Sherry. Jabo will definitely be missed by many. 'Till we meet again...Love, Marcia

Dear Family of Jasper, I was sorry to hear of the passing of Jasper. I knew him from the Goodyear mailing department. He was there when I hired in as a young boy. We called him Jabo. He was established there and kind of like a supervisor or group leader. He was always kind to me. I saw him from time to time over the years and his niceness never changed.
