Joseph Pillitiere Obituary
Joseph P. Pillitiere, 62 passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2014. He was born on January 7, 1952 to Charles and Wilma Pillitiere.
Joe was a wonderful husband and father who devoted his life to providing for his family. He worked at his business, Alpha Printing, with his son, Matthew and business partner, Denny Gessmann. Being a lifelong resident of Portage Lakes, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, and was a lifetime member of Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club. Above all, he loved to ride his motorcycle. Joe was an avid Steelers fan, who never turned down an opportunity to travel to Pittsburg for a game.
Besides his family, Joe leaves behind many dear friends, and many memories of his personality and humor. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim; son, Matthew; daughters, Holly Pillitiere and Heather (Eric) Hennon; brothers, Chuck (Carol) and Lenny (Phyllis); and grandson, Eric Hennon.
As he wished, cremation has taken place. Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m., Pastor Shannon Blower. So sorry for your loss. Joe was a great man with the best sense of humor. He surely will be missed but so many people loved him he will not be forgotten. I knew Joe a long time ago and have many fond memories of him. God bless your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Joe's passing.He was a high school buddy of my older brother Bob.It was so fun to listen in on their lengthy conservations. Joe & Denny would almost always get into something crazy. Good memories.

Dear Kim & family, such a pleasure to have known Joe. He helped our son Jim in the beginning of our business & always. We all loved when he came into our shop. Such a considerate person. I, Ada, enjoyed talking about cooking & believe it or not, tuna fishing of which he gave me a book to read about it. We all loved him & will miss him greatly.
