Kenneth Karg Obituary
Kenneth R. Karg, Sr., age 84, of Medina, died peacefully on January 11, 2014.
He was born January 24, 1929 in Akron, Ohio, to Raymond and Emma Karg. He attended St. Vincent Catholic High School and graduated in 1956 from Kent State University after serving in the Korean War from 1950-52. On June 26, 1954, he married Mary Lou Stricklen and they celebrate 59 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Karen, Susan (Bruce) Ruhl, Ken (Linda), Steve (Lisa), Kathy (Mike) Peddicord and Rob (Carol) and loving grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Calling hours will be at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley, Ohio, on Tuesday, January 14th between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Rd., Medina, OH 44256, with Father William Karg officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Kenneth R. Karg, Sr. to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Parkinson's Fund-Our Goal Is A Cure (Fund 311849). Checks may be made payable and sent to: The Ohio State University Foundation, 1480 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43221. In the check memo line, please write in Fund #311849 Kenneth R. Mary Lou,
I just learned of Ken's passing and I feel so bad for your loss. You two were the best God-parents and must have taken that vow so seriously. Nobody I know maintained relationship with a God-child like you and Ken. I just looked at some pictures of our vacations to Canada. What great memories. My dad always used Ken's story of success to motivate us. A living example he will always be of work ethic rather than entitlement. I still have years' subscriptions to National Geographic Society. I am better for having just a little bit of you and Ken. I thank you for your friendship to my parents. I pray for you and for blessings over you and your family.

Mary Lou and family , I was so sorry to here that Ken passed . He was a great man and teacher to myself and many others . I started working for him in 1981 . He taught me a great deal and was a good friend to my wife Kim and I . My deepest sympathy . I am in Tennessee and just found out or Kim and I would be there . Denny Fruth

Mary Lou and family: My deepest sympathy to all of you. Many, many fond memories of your family and working with Ken at Graham in Columbus in the early 70's. I was always grateful that I had a small part in getting Ken and Dave together.
