Kimberly Phillips Obituary

Kimberly Irene Phillips (Mattioli)

"TOGETHER AGAIN"

Kimberly Irene Phillips (Mattioli), 62, passed away December 1, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. It is hard to put into words the depth of loss felt by all those who knew and loved her. Kimi lost her husband, Bill, the love of her life, 17 years ago and that weighed heavy on her each and every day since.

She was a bright, loving, and warm spirit who filled a room and the lives of others with joy and laughter. She was always armed with a smile in her heart, a joke to put you at ease and a genuine concern for others. Kimi never put herself above anyone, even as she struggled with health issues. Her favorite place to be in all the world was curled up with her cat Sherman, watching old (preferably Burt Lancaster) movies. While losing someone so special has broken our hearts, we take comfort in the fact that she is back in the loving arms of Bill.

We're blessed to have had this amazing woman and her dimples in our lives.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bill Phillips; mother, Norene Powers; second dad, Robert Powers; sister-in-law, Diamone Powers; and brother-in-law, Mike Hill.

Kimi is survived by her father, William Mattioli; sisters, Pam (John) Sandels and Laurie Powers Hill; brothers, Barney Powers and Mike (Jay) Powers; daughters, Kim Poole (Mike) and Kellie Phillips (Jerry); grandchildren, Bretton (Megan), Brenna (Tylor) Trexler, and Armando Noriega; great-granddaughter, Karter Trexler; great-grandson, Bryson Poole--on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Kimi's life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015, 2 p.m., at the Victory Chapel (32 W. Bellisle Drive, Akron).

Oh kellie, I just can't believe Ma is gone! My condolences to you and your family. Your mom was a good neighbor to my mom. Your mom and dad were so kind to take Sarah along on the vacation, and everyone seemed to enjoy the trip. I'll be thinking of you for a long time to come.

my condolences to the family
Kim was always in such a fun loving mood (even if she was experiencing her own trauma).
I met her through my wife Lisa(Lear).

I would run into Kim ever so often and her cheerful attitude was always a treat.

she was one great woman !
