Lowell McClellan Obituary
Lowell Lee McClellan, 81, of Uniontown, passed away April 7, 2015.
He was born on August 7, 1933 in Akron, Ohio to the late Louis and Blanche McClellan. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. For over 50 years, he owned House of Fine Cars in Akron.
Lowell will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Patricia; children, Brian McClellan (Lisa Smith and her children, Bella and Leila), Amanda (Todd) Reese, Barbie (Terry) Schafer and Kevin McClellan; grandchildren, Carter, Shane, Austin, Collin, Courtney, and Travis; mother-in-law, Rose Minor; many other special nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Kenneth and Dale.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral service will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m., with visitation for one hour prior. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. One of my best friends ever what a guy.think of him often.
Lowell McClellan... great sportsman, driver, racer. I will always remember him like this. He raced many years with my dad, who said he looked like Chuck Connors, the Rifleman. Lowell always had a smile, and in all the years I knew him, I never saw him

This is how I remember Lowell. A great sportsman, competitor, driver, racer. He and my dad raced many years together. I never saw Lowell come off the track with anything but a smile, win or lose, finish, or break down. That is where I knew him best, at the go-kart track.. Rest in peace Lowell.

To the family,
I am sad to hear of your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I met Lowell years ago thru the car business and we quickly became friends. Thru the bank I worked for years ago we financed many of his cars. He was good for the banks business and personally he did allot for me. R.I.P. my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Lowell's passing. He was a soft-spoken man, always with a ready smile, and one excellent go-kart racer. My dad thought the world of him, and they ran many races together. Many great memories of Lowell and the Fabulous Five racing in the 60's and 70's. Wishing you peace with comforting thoughts and memories.
