Colianni Jr.

Nicholas P. Colianni Jr., 49, passed away suddenly on Sat urday, April 23, 2005.

A lifetime area resident, Nick was a graduate of Immaculate Heart of Mary Grade School and Walsh Jesuit High School, Class of 1973. Af ter receiving his accounting degree from Kent State University and becoming a Certified Public Accountant, he started his own firm, Colianni and Kazan. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish and was a member of the Italian Ameri can Club. For the past 32 years, Nick participated in mar tial arts, training at the Chung Sing School.

His survivors include wife of 25 years, Cheryl (Scafidi); mother, Mary A. Colianni; sister, Karen (Larry) Witherspoon; brother, William Colianni; niec es, Lori, Teresa, and Kara With erspoon; friend and business associate, Nan Kazan; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas P. Colianni Sr., and niece, Mary Beth Witherspoon.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley, Ciriello & Carr Stow Chapel (Kent Road at Route 91). Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catho lic Church. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Education Fund at either St. Joseph Grade School of Cuyahoga Falls or to St. Mary's Grade School of Ak ron.

Cheryl:

I worked across the hall from Nick at Baker Industrial. I am so sorry to hear about Nick's passing. It came as such a shock. The last time I saw Nick was last wednesday before I left for NYC and he had a big smile on his face and I hope that you don't mind, but that is the way that I would like to remember him. I am sorry that I can't come to the calling hours, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.
