UNIONTOWN Philip John Tweedie, 41, passed away sudden ly Dec. 2, 2002.

Born in Detroit, Mich., Philip lived in the Akron area for 19 years. He was a member of Uniontown United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. Phil ip was an active Den Leader of Cub Scout Troop 134. He was also actively involved with Boy Scout Troop 135, and Ohio Reads at Uniontown Elementary.

He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Tweedie; sons, Andrew and Jason Tweedie; daughter, Laura Tweedie; parents, Robert H. and Phyllis Tweedie of Northville, Mich.; brother, Jim Tweedie of Minnetonka, Minn.; sister, Mary Ann Tweedie of Novi, Mich.; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Phoebe Richards of Pleasant Ridge, Mich.

Funeral services Sunday, 4 p.m. at Uniontown United Methodist Church, 13370 Cleveland Ave., N.W., with Rev. Grace A. Berlo officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service time. Private burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown. Memorials may be made to the Stark County Crisis Intervention Center, 2421 13th St., N.W., Canton, 44708, or the National Alliance For the Men tally Ill, P.O. Box 79972, Baltimore, Md., 21279.
