Rhonda Bennett Obituary
Rhonda Eileen Bennett, 46, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 16, 1971 to Gene and Ruth Bennett, she was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio.
She was the youngest and most rambunctious of four children. Her unwavering bond with her mom and siblings was unbreakable. She was dedicated to her family and a devoted friend. She loved Starbucks, baking and shopping, especially with her "brats" (Mal and Nicki). Rhonda was a beautiful soul, inside and out. No one would know the health struggles she faced daily and yet, she never complained. She was a great example of how to live life with grace, courage and strength. Her smile and sass will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene "Buddy" Bennett, and great nephew, Alexander James Bennett, and her fur babies, Hooch and Stew. She is survived by her mother and best friend, Ruth Bennett; Sisters, Ruth (Mark) Bennett-Walk and Kimberly Roy; Brother, Gene (Lynn) Bennett; Nephews, Jacob White and Zachary Bennett; Niece, Amy (Andrew) Deckert; Her Beloved of 25 years, Scott Bennett; Step-Daughter, Mallory (Gary) Pownell; Great Nephews, Camden and Callum White; and Great Niece, Emilyn Deckert; and countless other family members and many friends.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at the Cleveland Clinic, Davita Summit Renal Care and Summa Hospital, who took such great care of Rhonda for many years.
Per her wishes, the family will hold a Memorial Service to honor her life on Friday, July 14, 2017. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., services immediately following at Cornerstone Church located at 578 Killian Rd., Akron, OH 44319. "You were given this life because you were strong enough to live it."

My deepest and sincerest condolences to the Bennett family .... Rhonda & I grow up together , I haven't seen her since our school days except once in 2010 @ giant eagle in Springfield and we hugged & talked and laughed and talked some more and she said she had to go bc her husband was waiting out in the car lol I didn't know bc we we're talking so long I assumed she was by herself lol .... we hugged goodbye and that was that last time I seen her .... such a beautiful person inside and out ..

Rhonda was the strongest person I knew. I met Rhonda over 17 years ago at a job we both worked at. We started as a co-workers that became friends. She exposed me to Chicken Phillies. I had never had a Philly Sandwich before I met her but she drove us to Chapel Hill Mall during lunch and we both got one and I was hooked after that. We would make lunch runs just for those sandwiches. Then she exposed me to her baking, she could bake anything. Her Candy Apples were so good and her Pumpkin Rolls I could never get enough of.
With everything she was dealt with she was by far the bravest and strongest person I have ever known. I pray for her family and friends to find comfort and know she's no longer hurting or in pain. I will miss the way we would run into each other out and about and our talks about our fur babies. Fly High Rhonda.
