Hi Pat,
Selma and I extend our most sincere sympathy to you, the children and the grandchildren with the passing of Bob. We will always have fond memories of Bob. This includes both of our children who Bob befriended.
Bob gave me my first serious opportunity at General Tire for which my family and I will always be grateful. Bob was a mentor for me before it was popular to be such.
Bob will always be held in high esteem by those who had an opportunity to know him. His e-mails and jokes will be missed.
May God bless and keep you.

Dearest Pat,
We just heard of Bob's death and are so sorry to have missed the service. We cherish the memories of wonderful times shared with you both, and chuckle at the memories of Bob pulling Jenny's hair in church. Just last week, we watched the old videos from the kids' weddings and saw the two of you. Bob reached out as Jenny walked down the aisle to pull her hair one more time! Our whole family will always think of Bob with a wink and a grin. God bless you, Pat, I know you shared a special love. With our sincerest condolences, Barb & Dick Sparhawk

I was sorry to hear about Bob. I have always admired the Glidden family, although it seems, with everyone's busy schedules, I am only reunited by major events like funerals. I heard the news from Ed Hadel, who was informed by Joe Powers. I'm sorry I won't be able to make the service. Please know that my family and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. And please say "Hi" to Jim for me.

Our deepest sympathy to you Pat, and your family, in Bob's untimely passing. His irreverent sense of humor was priceless. His love of your grandchildren came through his e-mails. We know he's in a better place and we're all the better for having had him as a friend.
Sincerely;
Judy and Herb Knopp

I ran into an employee of Continental in the Phoenix airport today who informed me of Bob's death. As recently as last week I received an e-mail of one of his on-line jokes. I have many fond memories of the years that I spent working for Bob. He was rarely on time for meetings, mostly because he would be talking with you and forget what his schedule was. The fact that he refused to wear a watch never helped with that. Yvonne would spend a lot of time looking for him around the building, trying to get him to where he was scheduled to be.
I hope Pat receives comfort in knowing that all of us who worked with him or for him have him filed in our memories as one of the great "characters" of all time.
