Rose Ben-Porath Obituary

Rose Masha Ben-Porath passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2021. She was a kind and caring soul, who wanted to make the world a better place. She was deeply committed to social causes and rectifying injustices in this world. An accomplished musician, she played numerous instruments including the piano, violin, viola, and the guitar, and was a student at Ohio State University majoring in public health. Her quick wit and dry sense of humor will be deeply missed by her loving family, her parents Yossi and Dee, brother Adam, sister Ella, grandmother, Patricia Shondrick, and her numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Moshe and Edna Ben-Porath and John Shondrick. Words cannot adequately convey our family's sorrow and grief. We will be holding a private funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by check to the B.Riley Sober House, 3719 Denison Avenue Cleveland OH 44109.

I want to share my condolences with you and your family.
I was friends with Rose in middle school. She taught me viola and was my stand partner for all four years. I don´t think my love for viola and music as a whole would be as great as it is today without Rose´s influence. Pushing me to be the best I could possibly be. I will be forever thankful.
Please find comfort in these tough times by reminiscing on the fond memories you had with Rose. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I share my deepest condolences to you and your family. I cannot even imagine how you are feeling right now. I was good friends with Rose when we ran cross country in middle school together. I will never forget when we both got lost on the path and almost got disqualified! A memory that I will hold on to forever. Rose will forever be missed and her presence will never be forgotten. If there is anything you need at all, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Love,
Madelynn

Dee, Yossi, Adam, and Ella,
Words can´t adequately describe how heartbroken we are for all of you. I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to spend the time I did in Rose´s presence. Beyond that, I am so grateful that she entrusted me with her hair, her brows, and most importantly the conversations we had in my chair. She was such a beautiful, deep, caring light in the world and I know so many lives are better today by simply having known her. Please know that you have an army of people loving you as you work through this unimaginable time. Here for you always.
