It was the morning after the Hudson floods and Leslie, Stephanie and Christie stopped by my parents house to make sure we were okay. Our family was left with only what we were wearing the previous night. Stephanie noticed I was shoeless, without hesitation she kicked off her own shoes and offered them to me. They were they only shoes I wore for 3 weeks. It wasn't the act of kindness itself that I will always remember about Stephanie, but how effortlessly it occurred. May she rest in peace.

With heartfelt sympathy to Leslie, Tom, Matt, Nic and Christie.

Steph was a huge part of my early recovery and was always someone I felt I could tell anything to. She never judged and always knew how to make a person feel special. She had one of the most beautiful hearts I've had the honor of knowing. I wish that I could have spent more time with her and would gladly give anything just to hug her one more time. Her time on earth was short and I feel blessed to have been a part of it. Heaven is lucky to have gained such a beautiful angel.

Stephanie's ambition was incredible, especially as a Soldier. A hard worker who'd ask "what can I do next?". Someone who had a way of uplifting others with her big heart and smile. She was real, always herself no matter what; much respect to that. Her passion for what she believed in remains. We will always believe in her. Sending positive energy and courage to her family. Our thoughts are with you.

Stephanie was a fine young lady and a credit to the uniform she wore. She is a true hero who will be remembered forever.
Please extend my sympathy to your entire family.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousands words that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I didn't die.

Stephanie was a classmate of my son, Patrick, in the Hudson schools. She was always such a nice, friendly girl. I ran into Stephanie a few years ago. I hadn't seen her in years, but she came up to me, remembered my name, and we had a great conversation. The wold has lost a shining star. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Joyce Sutterer
